It washes fine and more wash options than I need. I use the AI mode more ofthen than the others and it does a good job. The only issue is the odor. We had a front load before so just leave the door open when not washing plus it is more of an odor like a machine rather than mold. Hope it goes away but already getting use to it. It does a load faster than our old machine and still gets items clean. Overall a good machine so far and has more than enough bells and wistles for us.

Took delivery on this unit. Easy to make connections. First wash discovered the washer gasket is improperly installed. Sad to know quality control is lacking. Defect 2was extremely apparent. Received second as replacement. Easy control wash decisions. This unit has performed well with the done wash applications. Not as quiet as expected.

Washer has great cleaning performance. The noise level is fine - especially since my laundry area is open to the kitchen. I mainly hear it when its spinning but its not that loud/doesnt bother me expecting no noise is not realistic. I think my prior Bosch machine was louder. So far love it

We bought this front load washer and matching dryer electric to replace a much older LG set. This set runs much quieter and have found the savings in our electric bill not withstanding the change from an LP dryer to electric. We have consistently bought LG appliances for our home and now sold home in Mexico. We also changed out our non LG stove and refrigerator that came with our current home. We have not once had to have a service all. We anticipate the same with the new washer/dryer set.

Whats your philosophy on quality? First our model is WM5500HVA and after doing research on five other brands we chose LG. I always go with reviews as my main moving point to buy just like someone reading this will know how genuine it is. My sales pitch which I use to this day is Whats your philosophy on quality? Costco adding a year on the warranty helped as well but were also buying the extended one too. Looks features and service is all I or you need to know about LG washers and dryers. From the built in lift handles on the washer to the tilted washer drum its the unique design features that impressed me as well. Waite for a good deal and youll not only get a good deal but a good deal on a great product.

Non-Vented washer caused a mold health hazard

I bought the LG machine about a month ago. The reason for purchasing a new washing machine was that our previous similar LG washing machine that was in good working shape had a health hazard mold problems. We had maintained our washing machine per LGs recommendations using the correct front load soap using the cleaning cycle once a month etc. Other brands have vented washers that eliminate the mold problem. Unfortunately for us we were stuck purchasing another LG washing machine due to dimensions When remodeling our Laundry Room we were under the false illusion that most washer/dryers are the same size. Well got that wrong so we are stuck with LG until we do some minor remodel work......Recommend and frontload machine that is vented. Maybe LG will join the ventible washing machines some day.

We have only had the washer for about a month but it has been in operation just about every day. Our nonprofit does a lot of visitation and work with the infirmed. Volunteers often leave some of their protective clothing for the next use. Laundry happens and in the world of Covid being able to sanitize was one of our highest priorities. This washer is amazing. It gets the clothes super clean and very efficient. Seems like barely any water is being used. I love the bay array of settings to get the right cleaning based on material or type of load. I love the quick wash cycle which is 15 minutes. Definitely comes in handy when in a rush after forgetting to wash lets say a baseball uniform. The LG app makes this washer even more amazing. The alerts when finished maintenance tips and remote control access are great. It also shows how much you save based on us usage to help fully see how energy efficient it is. Definitely recommend.

This washer may be fine for someone else but it does not deliver what I wanted. 1.When I choose hot water I want the water supply to come exclusively from the hot water line. Instead I get a mix of hot and cold water leaving me with warm water. I need true hot water for some loads for use with Oxiclean bleach for instance. 2. The tub is too deep for convenient unloading. I have to stand on tip-toe and stretch hard to reach items at the bottom of the tub. I had a 2.5 front loader before and was happy with it but I wanted something a little bigger when it came time for a new washer. I wish I could have found a washer with around 3.5 cu ft capacity. At 4.1 cu ft capacity this washer is larger than I need. It crowds the available laundry space and requires a strong stretch to unload it. 3. The extra water option is not designed to work with the normal cycle which is generally when I would want to use that option.

I have had these units for a few months now. I am a first time front load washer owner and I love it. Granted my last laundry set was from 1996. I like that it has the laundry soap dispenser at the top the drum is lit and its quiet. Its a bonus that I have it connect to my wifi and I can see the state of the wash and when it will be finished and use alexa to tell me when its done washing. It has more features than I will use but I plan on exploring them soon. These would include the AI wash cycle. I would recommend this unit. Also its lower than I thought so purchasing a pedestal might be in my future also.

Purchased a month ago and already noticed a savings on my water bill. Easy to use very intuitive and excellent features. Using the LG Thin Q app I know when the cycle is done and dont need to physically check the status. Uses the right amount of water for the load and the cycle completes quickly. Clothes come out clean and fresh. I could not be happier. Had a competitors brand prior and it kept going off balance. I had to continually restart the machine at spin cycle and it would fill with water all over again. No problems with the LG front load washer. I would highly recommend to anyone who wants a reliable machine with great features.
