The motherboard died after the first 36 days of ownership. Was repaired under warrantee and died again a little over a year after. 3 weeks after the second repair the refrigerator died again. Even when it was working the fruits and vegetables molded faster than usual. Would not recommend. Could only get a refund after it died three times which losing food for an entire family 3 times is a major inconvenience.

Weve had this fridge for a year and we really like it. No problems at all. Very quiet. Makes lots of ice and its efficient since theres no ice dispenser. Some may like a dispenser but they have energy loss and I find I prefer scooping ice from the tray. The water filter changes easily. Dont buy these from LG.com. You can buy the name brand filters elsewhere for much less. Customer service is good. I had to call since I couldnt figure out how to reset the water filter notification light. Note you need to push the label under the light not the light. Its hard to tell where the button is which is my only criticism. Overall build quality appears excellent. 5 stars all the way

Ive had this fridge for a year now and its definitely an upgrade from what I had and its a very nice fridge. I wish the veggie doors could open when just 1 door is open but you have to open both doors to open any of the 3 drawers. The water filter cap was loose when I got it and the ice maker stopped making ice a few months ago but the phone repair tech easily showed me a reset button and its worked fine since and otherwise no issues with it. Very spacious holds a lot love the water on the door.

I love the refrigerator. It seems very functional. My only issue is with the company who delivered it. The water and ice did not work. The men who delivered it spoke limited to no English so there was no help with questions. Ive contacted them 5 times in the last couple of weeks. They promise to put us on the schedule but never do. We will be paying someone to hook the ice maker and water up. I also called Sams and LG. No one took responsibility.

Very much love this fridge and highly recommend. Pros -tons of space -water dispenser -the extra shelving in the door due to not having the ice maker up top allows for storage of all the odds-and-ends bottles that otherwise would crowd the main shelf space. This has made our fridge life much better. -Great looking fridge -runs pretty quiet Cons -As with any fridge that doesnt have a top door ice maker it is less convenient to get ice down below and while the ice maker doesnt produce tons of ice its enough for us -The top doors will close a bit hard sometimes if you let them close on their own -My guess is this is the case with any fridge but it doesnt ever really get to the temperature its set to. We have it set as low as it can go and the two thermometers I have in it are usually around ~2-3 degrees warmer after keeping it closed overnight

So far very happy. More storage space it seems than my previous 36. Very roomy with good storage space in the doors. Sometimes have to be careful to close the left door first. Sabbath mode is very easy to turn on and off. Wish the outside water dispenser would work on sabbath mode. I like that the fridge and freezer temps show on the outside of the unit.

3 things to think about

I love my fridge except for 3 things. 1. The water filter housing is poorly designed. The nipple I. The center of the housing moves when you change the filter and the new filter will not I have replaced this twice to the tune of about $170 each time with install. 2. The drawers gave a ckear plastic lip that goes Ive the white plastic part. Crumbs get in but there is no way to get them out and they can be seen. It drives me crazy that i cant clean this and have to see it evertime I open one of the drawers. 3. Customer service is VERY poor. I called on about the filter housing and was told I would receive a new part in 7 to 10 days. I waited 3 weeks with no water or ice and called to check on it. I was told I wouldnt be getting the part. Fine why didnt the notify me that the part wouldnt coming. Asked to talk to a supervisor. After a long wait he came on the line and was very condescending. My question to him was since you are the supervisor you probably told the 1st agent she had made a mistake. I impression she was new and probably fired. Why didnt you make sure the customer me wasnt notified. He had no answer and sent me a 20 coupon for a filter cartridge. The supervisor didnt do his job. I would hesitate to buy LG again.

We bought our refrigerator a couple of months ago and so far it has been excellent. It has an additional 3 sq.ft more than our previous fridge even though it is the same external dimensions. The only negative is that the water from the dispenser tastes more like tap water than our old LG. The water filter is significantly smaller in this model and may be the reason. Our old model was better than bottled water. Not a huge deal but it would be great if the filter technology was improved. Freezer is great love the slim water dispenser overall a great fridge so far.

Our new LG French door refrigerator was installed about 3 weeks ago and we couldnt be happier with it. Fantastic looks roomy storage in both the refrigerator and freezer and easy access digital temperature controls. Especially like the well designed and roomy door shelves for tall bottle storage and wide internal shelves for platters etc. Also like the in freezer ice maker that produces a large amount of ice and unlike most in door ice refrigerators takes no room out of the refrigerator and will not cause ice jambs etc through the dispenser.

So far so good but with a couple of observations. We live in the high desert so ice is a major accessory and actually the main reason we bought a new appliance. It took several days to produce the initial bucket full. It appears to be producing enough now with the ice plus feature constantly engaged but Im keeping my eye on it. Next a minor detail but the deli drawer requires both doors to be open to access it. I like having the deli drawer but opening both doors sort of defeats the purpose of the double doors?

This product is terrible we have had many service calls and it never cools properly. The top fridge is poorly designed and only the top shelf cools to temperature and the rest dont. We are about to call LG again but avoid this fridge whatever you do. We have never had such a poorly designed product.

Had problems from the start. Bought from Costco. And noticed right away that it was too noisy. Mainly the water and ice functions. Trying to get someone to look at it from LG was a 4 hour effort. Now we are still waiting for a new mother board which was the problem from the beginning. We have had a great experience with our LG Products. This one is a disappointment.

The refrigerator is great however we needed a bypass for the filter. The current bypass part was created for all LG refrigerator that was made before 2013. There is currently no bypass part for recent LG model refrigerator. We had to return the refrigerator.

22 month old fridge and we like it EXCEPT... The water filter connection has a design flaw. First its plastic. Second the inner part is supposed to freely spin so that it mates when you remove or replace the filter. It is frozen and will not accept a new filter. Waiting for a response from LG. We bought this at Costco so its still under the 2 year warranty.

Weve had this LG fridge for almost three weeks and we love it It replaced our 13 year old LG French Door Fridge. This appliance is spacious and practical. The door shelves provide a lot more room than our prior unit. Having the ice maker in the freezer frees up space in the left fridge door and provides us with plenty of ice. The slim water dispenser works well. It a better design than our previous fridge. The ice maker is fairly quiet and I purchased an ice scoop which resides in the ice tray. Reading other reviews before purchasing this fridge I was curious how well it cooled both the fridge portion and the freezer so I purchased two fridge thermometers. The freezers temperature is accurate and matches the display on the door. The fridge temperature varies +/- 3 depending where I place that thermometer. We are very pleased with this fridge and hope it will last as long if not longer than our first LG French Door fridge.

I bought this refrigerator two weeks ago and I love it Lots of room in the refrigerator part the door storage is great and its easy to see everything when you open the doors. The freezer drawer has loads of space and I like the ice machine in the top tray in the drawer. I highly recommend this refrigerator

I purchased this refrigerator as a replace for a small unit in our forever home. This thing is massive I havent filled it up yet. I like the fact I can open the veg/fruit bins with just opening a single door and the extra generous bin for my meats. All the additional engineering that allows cold air to circulate within the freezer and refrigerator portions. Cant recommend highly enough. Great product.

I love the water in the door with out the ice dispenser leaves more room in the refrigerator while sill providing cold water any time without opening the refrigerator doors. Love the refrigerator so far but I thought it was odd that there are screw holes on the door handles. I would have thought it would come with a plug or something so the deep holes were not as noticeable. Tried to contact both LG and LGParts and no one can provide information

Left door slams too hard.

All in all its good but we hav an issue with the left door closing too hard. We had to have installers/ repair guys come here 2 times after installing. Both of them explained that its completely normal. The door literally slams and shakes/ rattles all the stuff stored in the doors shelves. The installers wouldnt help by leveling out the unit so it does not lean backwards too much. They explained they are not allowed to add anything under the feet. The refrigerator sits on a slab so its already pretty flat and level. I had to Jerry rig shims and spacers to tilt the unit forward a bit as the adjustment feet/ wheels could not correct the angle it sits at. All in all it was a super pain in the behind.
