Another terrible LG product

Well its another terrible appliance from LG. I got the matching washer to this spoiler alert - its terrible too and I cant wait to get this $1100 junk out of my house. Its great if you like dryer loud I can hear it in my living room 2 floors away and apparently LG has someone created an inferno dryer because it is unbelievable how hot it gets. Again in LGs infinite wisdom they dont allow you to pick a cooler setting on AI dry just scorched earth only. So I try to use the timed dry 50 minutes on a lower heat. After three cycles of that my clothes is now dry. You read that right 150 minutes of drying if you dont want you clothes shrunk. Why couldnt you adjust temperature setting certainly AI could figure it out? No because its a marketing joke just like there app. How about you get rid of the app and just make a dryer where the user can pick their setting and have it shut off when the clothes are dry. Cant wait to get rid of this dryer. Worst brand ever.

The dryer itself has been great but based on my experience with LG support I would avoid this purchase. All appliances break down eventually and that makes the Customer Support experience incredibly important. I had an issue when this dryer was delivered and have been given the runaround for over 5 months now without any resolution. This includes submitting a message through LGs email the president feature. Customer service will not check-in with you either...you are expected to proactively reach out to get updates on your months-long problem all so they can just tell you that they are waiting on a decision from upper management. Based on how long its taking in my case I can only guess that upper management is on recess more than U.S. Congress.

Fantastic dryer I have been using LG products for the last 15 years and they have yet to disappoint. When I was looking for appliances for my new house I started looking at LG and some of the reviews had me on the fence with this dryer but I went for it anyway and Im glad I did the AI drying works great and my wife loves the steam option. Horrible Customer Service

I tried to buy an LG washer and dryer but it was an exhausting ordeal. Everything was fine until the day of delivery when the third party delivery company RXO refused to install the machines in my basement. The stairway down would require a little finesse but I had just removed the old machines that way a week prior. I even offered to take the machines down the stairs myself but they told me they would not be allowed to complete the installation after I touched the units. Their multiple excuses gave me the impression that they were looking for any reason to avoid trying. They offered to leave the machines in my yard still boxed up but expected me to sign a form saying I had inspected the machines and verified that they were working. I told them I couldnt and frustrated they took the machines away. I called LG that same day who reassured me that their policy does indeed include installation in basements so I tried to reschedule the installation. Long story short I spent 10 days on the phone with LG and RXO one passing me off to the other but getting absolutely nowhere. Each time they told me the problem was solved and that I would get a call back the next day but I always ended up having to call them only to find out that I was right back where I started from. I still wanted to try to make the the purchase work but when I could see that no progress was being made and I was in an endless cycle of retelling my story to call center employees who bore no responsibility for the debacle I asked to get a refund so I could buy a washer and dryer from a different company. A week later and they have not refunded me. I called to find out that they have still not received the units back from RXO. Their use of a third party courier allows them both to avoid feeling a sense of duty and responsibility and the customer is left with the short end of the stick.

I bought this dryer as I was replacing my old washer and dryer set and Ive been very pleased. The look and feel of the controls is very solid and the operation is very intuitive. As with most items with electronic features there are tons of ways to customize your dryer load but once you decide which of the presets you want the clothes come in great condition. I particularly like the ThinQ feature since it tells you on your cellphone where you are with your dryer progress. It even alerted me to the fact that there appeared to be an obstruction to the dryer vent. As it turned out the hose was sort of crimped but it was very helpful to have the machine alert me. So far this dryer has exceeded my expectations even though I had read great reviews and had wonderful service from other LG products Ive purchased in the past.

Huge capacity lots of setting options. I like the design I bought it along with the matching washer. The steam function sounds like a great idea although I havent used it yet. The ThinQ option is cool. It keeps you informed of the dryer cycle and lets you know when its completed. You can also custom design the cycle finish tone. When I started the first load my phone altered me that the duct was clogged. As it turned out the machine was pushed too far back making the dryer vent hose not optimally set up. It was easy to fix and the fact that the alert came up made me feel even better about the software. Ill probably avail myself of the option to change the way the door opens. Nice to know it can be done pretty quickly and easily.

Great machine The only thing I would change is the ability to alter the pre-programed cycles. For example the Active Wear cycle is set to warm water it would be nice to be able to change the water temp.
